A decent, fun action-platformer, though not as brilliant as some people make it out to be.

A pretty good platformer game back when it was released, but it didn't age particularly well. It's mainly let down by some questionable level design and a few boss battles which are plain infuriating. It's still worth playing, as there are some good elements here.

A large part of the reason why the game hasn't aged well has to do with the machine-independent speed that the game uses. It was released over ten years ago, and computers have gotten much faster since then. This makes the game much more challenging. When it first came out, I was able to beat it with minimal deaths. I was actually taken aback by the positive reception it received... it wouldn't be until South Park: Omega Project 2 that I'd get that kind of critical acclaim again. But looking back, I agree that it hasn't aged well.
