South Park is an American animated sitcom. The narrative revolves around four children — Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick — and their bizarre experiences in the titular mountain town. South Park has also spawned several South Park Games.

South Park has won acclaim and a plethora of awards, including three Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program.

Comedy Central has aired a total of 188 episodes of South Park since South Park's debut in 1997. Doug Herzog, who brought South Park to the network, credits the show's strong ratings in its early years for putting Comedy Central "on the map".

Two feature-length movies have also been released; the musical film South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut had a widespread theatrical run in 1999, and the three-episode Imaginationland story arc was reissued straight-to-DVD in 2008.

South Park's first South Park Game entitled "South Park" (originally titled, South Park: Deeply Impacted during development) is a First-person shooter video game based on the first few seasons of the popular TV series of the same name.

The south park game is powered by the Turok 2 game engine and was released in 1998 by Acclaim for the PC and the gaming consoles Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation. A Brazilian version of this south park game was published by Gradiente for the Nintendo 64 game console. Acclaim had announced a sequel to be released sometime in 2000, however this project never surfaced.
